600 Pairs of New Underwear Gifted to Women Seeking Asylum in Devon
This week we received an exciting delivery in the Refugee Support Devon office...
Here’s our volunteer, Shim, with a donation of 600 pairs of women’s underwear from 'Let's Get Our Knickers in a Twist'. This will make a big difference to the women we support who are asylum seekers living in a contingency accommodation hotel. Many of whom arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing.
We are grateful to receive clothing donations from partners and supporters - however, new underwear is particularly difficult to source, so this donation is incredibly valuable.
Shim, along with our team in the hotel, will be distributing these to women in need over the next few weeks.
A huge thank you to Serena and the Let's Get Our Knickers in a Twist campaign for this generous donation - a small gesture that will mean a lot to women who have risked everything to seek safety here in Devon.
