Refugee Support Devon joins 70+ organisations to reject Government 'behaviour guide' for asylum seekers in the UK
Last week, the Government released a 'behaviour guide' for people seeking asylum in the UK. We wholly reject this.
The guide scapegoats people seeking asylum, distorts the reality of violence against women and girls, and is dangerously divisive.
We’ve joined more than 70 organisations across the UK supporting people seeking asylum alongside those supporting victim-survivors of multiple forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in signing a joint statement to say: Not in Our Name.
Alongside this, Hibiscus has released a practical guide,#NotinOurName, showing how to talk about violence against women and girls and the dangerous weaponisation of these issues. Click here to read more.
