Thank you, Eddie: a change in faces at Refugee Support Devon
There's a change in faces in the office at Refugee Support Devon...
After a brilliant 6 months our Administrative Assistant, Eddie is leaving the origination to pursue new opportunities. Eddie has been a vital part of the Refugee Support Devon staff team, running the office and coordinating the communications and fundraising for the organisation.
From supporting our fundraising efforts to assisting clients and volunteers, alongside our Administrator Trupti, he ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, enabling our frontline staff to carry out our vital work supporting refugees and people seeking asylum in Devon.
If you have been into the office over the past 6 months, you will have met Eddie. He has been such a brilliant support to all areas of the organisation and always on hand, to help with whatever needs, problems or queries come up!
Eddie shares a message to the Refugee Support Devon team, reflecting on his time with us:
‘After an all too brief time at RSD, I am moving on to exciting other opportunities abroad. My time at RSD has been fantastic, and has reaffirmed to me how important RSD’s work and services are to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants in the county.
I have learned so much from RSD’s amazing staff, trustee, and volunteer teams and the invaluable services we provide to our clients. I am sad to be leaving RSD but have no doubt that RSD will continue to be a stalwart of the VCSE sector in the county and continue to go above and beyond providing needed services to our clients. Thank you to all of the RSD team and clients, I will miss you all.’
Over the past couple of weeks, Eddie has been handing over his role to Natasha, who takes over the position with the new title of Communications and Administrative Assistant.
We are wishing Eddie all the best with his future endeavours and a huge thank you for all he has done to support Refugee Support Devon. We look forward to staying in touch and seeing what he does next – no doubt continuing to be a brilliant support to the non-profit sector!
