Local Community Continues to Show Up in Support of People Seeking Safety in Devon
At Refugee Support Devon, we’ve been deeply moved by the response of the local community over the past few weeks.
While far-right groups have attempted to spread hostility outside a local hotel housing asylum seekers in Exeter, members of the local community have consistently chosen solidarity over hate. Every Saturday, people have gathered to write letters of welcome, play music, and show kindness - small acts that carry huge meaning for those seeking safety here.
This is the Devon we know: a county that believes in dignity, belonging, and compassion for all.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with people seeking sanctuary.

We gather every Saturday at 11am, outside Hampton by Hilton Hotel near Exeter Airport - updates shared regularly on the Stand Up To Racism Exeter Facebook page.
